Mechanisms of Contractile Action of Acetylcholine on Hepatic Vein
ABSTRAKT
In acute experiments on anesthetized rats, acetylcholine constricts hepatic venous vessels, causing the mobilization of blood from the organ. It also extends the sphincters of hepatic veins leaving the organ, contributing to an increase in the outflow of blood deposited in the liver. Constrictor responses of capacitive vessels of the liver to acetylcholine are realized via activation of M-cholinergic receptors on endothelial cells with subsequent involvement of a messenger, probably norepinephrine, which activates α-adrenergic receptors on smooth muscle cells in these vessels. Relaxation of the sphincters of hepatic veins is carried out through acetylcholine - induced release of a messenger probably epinephrine in the walls of blood vessels which in turn activates β-adrenergic receptors on smooth muscle cells of hepatic vein. It is clear that nitric oxide is partially involved in the implementation of the latter responses.
