ABSTRAKT

In the United States, back problems pose significant difficulties for most employers. Health care professionals, particularly nurses, are specifically prone to back problems. This article discusses the prevalence of the problem and reviews ergonomic studies of back problems in the nursing profession. Finally, it proposes an integrated approach to managing back problems among health professionals.
