AB It has been shown in aquarium experiments that catamine, a cationic surfactant, strengthens the toxic action of chromium (VI) on the chlorophyll <i>a</i> accumulation (which served as an indicator of algal biomass) and inhibits substantially the photosynthesis intensity in <i>Chlorella vulgaris</i> Beijer.
