AB A rich complex of ancient organic microfossil remains, including filiform algae, has been found in Lower Carboniferous deposits of the Ozeryanskaya suite in the northwestern part of the Ukrainian shield. The filiform algae are of great importance for the stratigraphy of the area. Short descriptions of some species are presented.
