ARC PLASMA SOURCE JF High Temperature Material Processes: An International Quarterly of High-Technology Plasma Processes JO HTM YR 2008 FD 2008-04-19 VO 12 IS 1-2 SP 121 OP 141 AB The properties of a D.C. arc plasma source operating at low electric power and with a small argon mass flow are presented. The physical description of the arc takes into account non-equilibrium conditions for the local kinetic temperatures and the ionization effect. Plasma properties are computed in the framework of a Navier-Stokes modeling and they are analyzed for different arc-jet operating conditions.
