The fluid flows in a circular pipe through a porous medium in the presence of a uniform magnetic field acting parallel to the pipe radius. The analytical solutions of the momentum and heat equations have been obtained in terms of Bessel and modified Bessel functions. Finally, we studied the effects of various parameters such as the magnetic parameter and the permeability coefficient on the velocity and temperature profiles of various types of fluids: a Newtonian fluid, a Maxwell fluid, an Oldroyd-B fluid, a second-grade fluid, and a Burgers' fluid. %8 2010-06-04
