It has been shown that on the 8th week after streptozotocin injection, maximal depolarization-induced firing frequency is reduced and decay time constant of high-frequency stimulation-induced calcium signals increases, compared with the values in control animals. The data obtained point at functional changes in RGC of streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats, and possible mechanisms of such changes are discussed. %8 2014-03-26
