Investigations of the frequency of vortex precession and of the full pressure drop over the test section of a vortex chamber depending on the liquid flow rate and gas content were carried out. The relations obtained reveal a number of interesting effects that reflect the specific features in the behavior of precessing vortices with a gas core. These investigations are important, for example, for controlling resonance oscillations occurring in hydroturbines.
