Heat Transfer and Fluid Flow Visualization Using Liquid Crystal Thermography
ABSTRAKT
This document describes current preparation for future measurements and investigations together with discussion of future prospects in the area of heat and mass transfer intensification associated with turbulence. Passive intensification of heat flux transported from a surface to fluid can be obtained by e.g. increasing turbulence in stagnation or recirculating regions. Those regions can be recognized using liquid crystal thermography as a powerful tool for visualization both heat transfer and fluid flow structure, successfully applied by authors in previous investigations. Different types of vortex generators will be introduced into the flow for heat transfer enhancement.
