ABSTRAKT

The paper is devoted to numerical study of flow and heat transfer of mist jet impingement with low droplets mass fraction (no more than 1% of the mass) on the normally located flat plate. Mathematical model is based on the solution of Reynolds averaged of Navier-Stockes equations for two-phase flow with kinetic equation of probability density function of particles coordinates, velocities and temperature distribution (Derevich and Zaichik 1988). To predict velocity and temperature fluctuations of disperse phase we used model of Zaichik et al. (1997). Addition of droplets results in substantial increase of heat transfer intensity compared with one-phase air impact jet in the area of jet stagnation point.
