ABSTRACT

Some aspects are discussed as for applying the apparatus of vector quantization for sets of elements of the structural descriptions of images in the problem of recognition of visual images in the computer vision systems. A technology and methods of structural recognition are suggested that are based on the construction of a quantized representation of the set of features of the image database. Results of computer experiments are presented that testify to workability and effectiveness of the suggested methods of a visual information processing.
