Falls are everyday occurrences across the entire age spectrum and are the foremost causes of unintentional injury. Falls-related injuries do lead to increased morbidity, mortality, and associated sequelae. Although falls-related major injuries are infrequent, falls-related complications do significantly impede the process of rehabilitation. Appropriate categorization of injuries related to falls, assessment, and intervention are important facets of overall management.
