SINOPSIS

The spectral and energy characteristics of the shielded hemispherical resonator in the forced in the forced whispering gallery mode are investigated experimentally using a slot line. The use of a slot line provides the maximum forced oscillation spectrum sparseness in the shielded resonators with an exceptional separation of whispering gallery modes and achievement of the highest Q-factor. The results of experimental investigation and computer simulation show that the slot line is a waveguide channel having the resonance properties.
