SINOPSIS

Results of simulation of the intermodulation characteristics of the dual-frequency reconfigurable antenna are provided in the paper. The influence of MEMS-switches possessing non-linear volt-farad characteristics on the antenna parameters is considered. It is demonstrated the necessity of a well-reasoned selection of the numerical method for the analysis, the elementary base of the device equivalent circuit, excitation levels etc. while modeling electrodynamic structures including also the reconfigurable antennas with the nonlinear elements. The performed assessment investigations allow obtaining general representations and executing forecasting of non-linear distortions in the reconfigurable antennas resulting from availability of various types of RF switches therein.
