PECULIARITIES OF RADIO BEAM SENSOR IN MILLIMETER WAVE BAND AT LOW-PROFILE PATHS

SINOPSIS

Millimeter wave propagation at low profile surface paths are considered when the path height is comparable with vegetation at the trace. The peculiarities of the transceiver equipment in 8 mm waveband are submitted which permits to perform full-automatic measurements of signal characteristics and their transmission to the remote post by radio modem. In conclusion the data of signal processing is presented, which have been obtained during 2 months in autumn period and shows the dependence of mean signal level and amplitude of the signal fluctuations for different weather condition and time of the day. The data obtained permit to optimize characteristics of radio-beam sensors in alarm systems for protection of external perimeters.
