Bistatic Radars with Illumination by Ionospheric Signals of High-Frequency Communication Stations
SINOPSIS
The purpose of the present work was to consider the opportunity of the air object detection by the bistatic radars using, as an illumination signal, the ionospheric signals of high-frequency communication stations. Illumination signal spectra are investigated experimentally and the requirements to the direct signal suppression rate are determined to provide the detection at given ranges. The development of a complex of bistatic systems using the high-frequency stations is envisaged.
