Scattering and Guiding of Electromagnetic Waves in Inhomogeneous Dielectric Gratings with Periodic Surface Relief

SINOPSIS

In this paper, we have analyzed the scattering and guiding of electromagnetic waves in inhomogeneous dielectric gratings with periodic surface relief using improved Fourier series expansion method and multilayer method. Numerical results are given for the transmitted scattered characteristics for the case of incident angle and frequency, and for the propagation characteristics by varying the grating shape whose profile is triangular and whose interior distribution of permittivity is sinusoidal, and as well as a linear profile for both TM and TE cases.
