FORWARD LOOKING GROUND PENETRATING RADAR WITH SYNTHETIC ANTENNA APERTURE FOR BURIED EXPLOSIVE HAZARDS DETECTION
SINOPSIS
In the paper there are represented some results showing ability to detect of buried personnel mine prototypes with use of Forward Looking GPR system developed on the basis of Stepped Frequency Continuous Wave Probing Signal and Aperture Synthesis Technique that was realized by movement of a sub-array consisting of one transmitter and one receiver antennas sequentially step by step to form the antenna array aperture. Much attention was paid to the study of influence of changing the radio-waves angle of incidence and ground state on improving the visibility of buried explosive hazards.
