SINOPSIS

Recently, considerable interest has been shown in active-passive radar systems that use radiation from existing ground-based and space-based systems to highlight the environment. One of the most promising areas is the use of radiation from HF broadcast stations for highlighting the air environment. The use of broadcast HF stations for highlighting the ionospheric wave allows the detection of airborne objects at distances thousands of kilometers from the backlight station, which increases the stealth and survivability of such systems. For waves of the decameter range (10...100 m), the sizes of the detected aircraft lie in the resonance region. Their RCS can reach from hundreds to thousands of square meters and cannot be reduced even with the use of Stealth technology, which facilitates their detection. This explains the interest in such systems.
The goal of the work is an experimental study of the statistical characteristics (spectra, distribution laws) of interference created by HF broadcast stations for active-passive radars. Creating simulation model of interference.
The results of an experimental study of the statistical characteristics of interference from HF broadcasting stations are presented: spectra, distribution laws for different frequencies and at different times of the day, the mathematical formulation of the interference model using nested semi-Markov processes, and the parameters included in it are determined on the basis of experimental data. The results obtained are necessary for the design of active-passive radar systems that use signals from broadcast stations of the HF range and to evaluate their operating ranges for highlighting.
