SYNTHESIZATION, ELECTRICAL AND THERMAL PROPERTIES OF Ni-SUBSTITUTED NANOFERRITE PARTICLES
SINOPSIS
Nanoferrite particles were synthesized by a coprecipitation method with the composition of x = 0.00, x = 0.10, x = 0.20, x = 0.40. The powder samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM), two-point probe method, and thermogravimetric analysis−differential temperature analysis (TG−DTA). The average crystallite sizes of particles were determined from XRD. The X-ray analysis showed that the samples were cubic spinel. The average crystallite size (Dave) of the particles precipitated was found to vary from 14.25 nm to 9.50 nm, decreasing with increase in nickel substitution. The results of the present study reveal that nanoferrites have higher resistivity, are thermally stable, and there is an improvement in the stability due to the dopants added to compounds. The present results point to the possibility of using the investigated samples for high frequency applications and electronic applications.
