A Simple and Effective Method for Impulse Noise Bands Detection and Elimination on Images

SINOPSIS

A simple and effective method for impulse noise bands detection and elimination on images is proposed. It enables not only to detect noise bands efficiently, but ensures preservation image details after correction. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified on real space images containing both impulse noise bands and isolated noisy pixels.
