SINOPSIS
It has been found that pelagic zooplankton of the Shatsk lakes is highly diverse in its composition, the quantitative indices of its development are rather high, whereas its structure is in balance. In water bodies differing in their limnological type and trophic level, above mentioned indices vary over a wide range. Results of bioindication suggest that zooplankton communities are in good state, whereas the state of the ecosystems of all groups of the lakes is satisfactory.
PALABRAS CLAVE: pelagic zooplankton, the Shatsk lakes, composition, development, structure, bioindication, ecological state, ecosystem state.
