Hydrological and Hydrochemical Regime of the Dnieper Reservoirs

SINOPSIS

The state of the Dnieper reservoirs was characterized based on monitoring data. It has been found that in recent decades water temperature significantly increased. This phenomenon was accompanied by a decrease in the duration of ice period, and also by a decrease in ice thickness. The peculiarities of hydrochemical regime and its annual dynamics were studied in each reservoir. It has been shown that during a year hydrochemical indices varied over a wide range.
