SINOPSIS

Results of the study of phytoplankton of Lake Tunaycha (the southern part of the Sakhalin Island) are given in the paper. Seasonal and interannual dynamics of microalgae numbers and biomass are discussed. It has been found that seasonal dynamics of phytoplankton development are characterized by several peaks of its numbers and biomass.
