SINOPSIS
The distribution of invertebrate species over biotic groups (macrozoobenthos, phytophilous fauna, and epifauna of solid substrata) and over various water bodies of the Kiliya delta of the Danube River was studied during one vegetation period. It has been found that the development of the macrofauna depends on the variety of substrata, and also on the types of water bodies.
