Laws Governing Local Heat Transfer in a Circulating Bed

SINOPSIS

Local heat transfer coefficients between a circulating fluidized bed and a vertical gauge of 12.2 mm diameter and length 50 mm are measured. It is found that the coefficients greatly depend on the velocity of the filtering and of the particle circulating flow. Correlations are obtained for calculating bed density distribution over the riser height and the coefficient of heat transfer between a bed and a riser wall.
