SINOPSIS
The behavior of the flow in a passage between two coaxial cones is studied on the basis of flow visualization. The results show that the flow experiences two flow patterns−streak flow and toroidal-vortex flow−as the similarity parameters are changed. The flow visualization technique uses paraffin mist as a tracer. An Argon laser light sheet and a flood light were used for the illumination.
