SINOPSIS

Experimental and theoretical studies of the formation of the inactivation components of an air plasma jet generated by a dc atmospheric pressure glow discharge have been carried out. The gas temperature and concentrations of inactivation components were determined by the emission and absorption spectroscopy methods. The mechanisms and zones of formation of the main bactericidal components NO, NO2, and HNO2 of the air plasma jet have been revealed.
