INSTABILITY OF THE FLOW NEAR A FLAT PLATE WITH AN UPSTREAM MOVING SURFACE

SINOPSIS
The problem of the flow past a flat plate with an upstream moving surface without the symmetry conditions is numerically solved. At a certain plate surface motion velocity, the solution becomes unstable and the drag of the plate becomes greater than in the symmetric case. At higher velocities, global destruction of the vortex flow occurs.
