SINOPSIS

The focusing effect by a complex gravitational lens formed by the gravitational fields of a macrolens-galaxy and microlens star is analyzed using the Sobolev method within the paraxial optics approximation. The problem is solved for an arbitrary location of the microlens along the source-macrolens-observer line. The image isophots are presented and magnification factor of the complex lens is calculated. It is shown that the greatest influence of the microlens on the focusing effect is observed in the case where the microlens is located on the macrolens-observer segment. The obtained results can be used for solving the inverse problem of recovering parameters of a hidden mass from observations of the microlensing.
