SINOPSIS
This paper presents a study on the effect of gas properties on the atomization of dissolved-gas jet using LDSA and speed photographic equipment. We investigate the effect of the dissolved CO2 and air on the droplet size distribution, spray angle and nozzle discharge coefficient under the condition of a steady spray of fuel containing dissolved gas. The results show that all properties of gases have an effect on the atomization. Such effect depends on the gases' dissolving capacity in the diesel fuel.
