SINOPSIS
Morphophysiological peculiarities of the obtained Anabaena PCC 7120 mutants are discussed. They differ in their color, chlorophyll a content, dimensions of trichomes, the mode and pattern of their growth, and their response to different antibiotics used against bacteria (such as erythromycin, neomycin). Mutants resistant to the effect of cationic surfactant (catamine) in concentration 0.1 to 5 mg/L are isolated. The mutants of blue-green algae are perceived as perspective for using them in systems of wastewater treatment and decontamination, as well as for improving the contaminated soils.
