T1 Solid-State Interferometer with Operating Frequency of 280 GHz JF Telecommunications and Radio Engineering JO TRE YR 2008 FD 2008-09-12 VO 67 IS 13 SP 1217 OP 1224 AB This paper is investigating the 280 GHz solid-state heterodyne interferometer aimed to measure the electron density of plasma in the TOKAMAK-type devices. A low level of the phase fluctuations of the output signal is achieved by means of high-order frequency multiplier and the active up-converter based on IMP ATT diodes. To exclude the influence of the probe signal fluctuations on the accuracy of the phase measuring in the interferometer it is used the quadrature processing at the intermediate frequency and the amplifiers with AGC circuits. The phase drift of the output signal does not exceed +/− 0.5° for 2 hours. The probe signal power is 1mW at the frequency of 280 GHz. The dynamic range for the reception signals is about 40 dB.
