%X Four new species of the genus Actinocyclus Ehrenberg, studied in light (LM) and scanning electron microscope (SEM), are described from the Upper Miocene sediments of the BDP-98 drill core, Lake Baikal. They are distinguished by the different structure of rimoportulae, different forms of spines, and the density of their placement on the valve face/mantle junction. The morphological peculiarities of known fossil freshwater species of Actinocyclus krasskei are marked.
