SINOPSIS
An extended wall-function approach that may take into account all the terms of Navier-Stokes equations (the pressure gradient, the unsteady term, the buoyancy effects,...) is presented herein. The method is based on an analytical integration of the momentum equations along the normal direction to the wall. The present approach is applied to a heated channel flow, using the same approach for the temperature, at a turbulent Reynolds number Reτ = 640 and a Prandtl number Pr = 0.71.
