SINOPSIS

The main aim of the applied research work is the comprehensive examination of the elementary units of a regional energy-flow network (a steam network for providing steam energy for various industrial units from secondary steam of a power plant) in order to fulfill the consumers' energy requirements for heating and technological purposes. Further goal is the determination of the mass-flow and temperature distributions and the hydro-dynamical and thermal analysis of the elements of the network, which are connected to each other and to the environment by means of heat transfer. After this phase, in view of models of the elementary units, the conservation equations of the whole network has to be posed. The aim of the subsequent synthesis-tasks is to ensure the proper distribution of steam-energy according to the technological and economical demands of the consumers. This model-simulation activity, assuming varying energy distribution and energy consumption conditions, examines the possibilities of control and intervention of the operation with the aid of an info-communication technology installed on the network. Thus the simulation is the preliminary step for the establishment of a decision-supporting expert system.
