DETERMINATION OF TURBULENCE PARAMETERS BY USING METHYLENE BLUE TRACER IN VERTICAL PIPE WATER FLOW
page 8
SINOPSIS
In this study, the aim was to investigate the fluid particles behaviour in the vertical pipe water flow by means of turbulence parameters (Lagrangian Integral Time Scale, Turbulent Intensity and Dispersion Coefficient). For this purpose a set of experiments were carried out by using the dye tracer. Methylene blue was selected as dye tracer and obtained results were compared with Taylor's experimental study in which methyl violet was used as dye tracer. It was shown that the results for turbulence parameters in good agreement with those of other investigator.
