SINOPSIS

Cavitation phenomenon may develop at bodies surfaces flowed around by a liquid flow, particularly, at suction side of hydrofoils and water turbines blades. It may arise in centers of free vortexes in swirl in draft tube and shear flows and in tip vortexes at hydrofoils. The cavitating flow problem is complicated due to high Reynolds number and multiphase nature of the flow with large disparity between fluid properties of each phase.
