RÉSUMÉ

History of development of radiophysical methods of remote sensing of terrain from aerospace facilities in A. Usikov Institute of Radio Physics and Electronics of NAS of Ukraine in the second half of the 20th century is considered. Main features of spacecraft and airborne side-looking radars are presented. Obtained results and prospects of development of remote sensing methods are discussed.
