RÉSUMÉ

The paper suggests a mathematically rigorous theoretical analysis of the boundary-value problem concerning electromagnetic wave diffraction by a semi-infinite, circular, half-transparent cone with an axially oriented slot. The problem has been reduced to a second-kind Fredholm set of linear algebraic equations, allowing an analytic solution for the particular case of an unclosed conic surface with a high degree of transparency. The results may prove useful for the design of wide band and superwide band (SWB) slotted antennas with transparent walls.
