Coverage Range Prediction of the X-band Sea-Borne Navigational Radar

RÉSUMÉ

An empirical relationship between the height of the near-sea surface tropospheric waveguide and the magnitude of the field attenuator factor of a direct signal over the X-band at different distances. A procedure for diagnosing and predicting the seaborne navigational-radar range is suggested and its applicability field are specified. A comparison is made between the results of range prediction and real data that had been gleaned in different areas of the World Ocean.
