BISTATIC RADAR SYSTEM USING RADIO SIGNALS OF GEOSTATIONARY SATELLITE LOW NOISE BLOCKS

RÉSUMÉ

The bistatic radar system using radio signals of geostationary artificial Earth's satellites (AES) is considered. The system allows detecting hydrometeors and turbulent movements in the troposphere. The description of the receiving measuring complex and the results of experimental observations during various meteorological conditions and wind velocities are shown. Applying of a multi-position bistatic system using radio signals of geostationary AES and reception stations installed at different points of the serviced territories was proposed to determine hydrometeors parameters and to predict atmospheric hazardous phenomena over large areas.
