COMPRESSION OF ELECTROMAGNETIC PULSES IN DIELECTRIC WAVEGUIDES OF A FINITE LENGTH

RÉSUMÉ

The urgent problem of compression of electromagnetic pulses propagating in an open dielectric waveguide is studied. The amplitude and frequency modulation laws of the input signal are determined as well as for the section of the waveguide of this type and for the specified geometry of the exciter and the receiver. These laws are in close to the linear (piecewise-linear) ones ensured that the dielectric waveguides are prospective for the microwave power compressors design. The source pulse generated with these modulation laws is assuredly being compressed into the pulse of the specified shape at the output.
