Competition and Cooperation of Modes in Small-Volume DRO with Periodic Structure of Coupled Grooved Waveguides

RÉSUMÉ

Particularities of excitation of oscillations in small-volume diffraction radiation oscillator (DRO) are considered. The examination of a mode competition in DRO in 8-mm waveband are carried out. The bi-frequency oscillation mode described by cooperative interaction of excited modes, is detected. Identification of resonant modes participating in cooperative interaction is performed. The mechanism of origination of synchronous bi-frequency modes in resonant self-oscillators with distributed interaction is suggested.
