Generation and Amplification of Electromagnetic Waves by a Tubular Plasma Beam in Crossed Radial Electrostatic and Axial Magnetic Fields in Free Space

RÉSUMÉ

A possible mechanism of generation and amplification of electromagnetic waves by plasma rotating in crossed axial magnetic and radial electrostatic fields is investigated theoretically. A dispersion relation describing the wave-electron interaction has been derived. It is shown that generation and amplification of waves is possible under the Cerenkov resonance conditions.
