Ellipsometry of the Two-Component Model Field from a Multielement Scatterer

RÉSUMÉ

The statistics of the elliptisity ratio and orientation of the polarization ellipse have been investigated for the field scattered by a multielement structure consisting of a set of random and a single regular reflector. It is shown that knowledge of angular dependences of these characteristics, obtainable through rotation of a linear-polarized radiation source, allows simplifying the radar target recognition.
