RÉSUMÉ

The problem on free oscillation is considered for the resonant cavity of arbitrary geometry filled with a homogeneous, time-dependent dispersion less dielectric. To solve the problem, the Modal Basis method is used. The evolution equations derived from the Maxwell set are reduced to a set of Volterra integral equations of the second find, and an explicit solution is obtained.
