Institute of Biology of Inland Waters of Russian Academy of Sciences, Borok, Yaroslavl' Region RÉSUMÉThe duration of period of development of resting eggs of P. pediculus, the rate and intensity of hatching and numbers of youth depend on the depth of location of resting eggs in the reservoir and ecological conditions during the period of rest of the population. The degree and the character of influence of the environmental factors over the viability of eggs and hatching of youngs are determined by the duration of cryptobiosis, the types of anabiosis, its duration, temperature and illumination.
