On Correlation Between the Content of Inorganic Nitrogen Compounds and the Intensity of Phytoplankton Development in the Dnieper Reservoirs

RÉSUMÉ

The relationships between the dynamics of ammonic, nitrate, and nitrite nitrogen and planktonic algae development in the Dnieper reservoirs is analyzed. Negative (inverse) correlation between contents of NH+4 and NO2 ions and phytoplankton biomass has been established. For NO+3 ions this correlation can be either positive (direct) or negative (inverse).
