RÉSUMÉ
The influence of metabolites of phenol origin of higher aquatic plants on the composition and quantitative indices of development of phytoplankton was investigated. It has been found that polyphenols influence the intensity of photosynthesis, nitrate reductase activity, and growth characteristics of unialgal cultures of green and blue-green algae. The amount and composition of metabolites of phenol origin, the species composition of higher aquatic plants, and ph of water should be taken into account in evaluating algicidal activity of metabolites.
